STADIUM Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Hassan Yunos
Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Larkin, Johor Bahru, West Malaysia. It is currently being used solely for football matches for Johor Darul Ta’zim team. The stadium current capacity is 30,000 spectators. It was named after former Menteri Besar of Johor, Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Hassan Yunos.
It was built in 1964, but back then it was only a minor venue with only 15,000 people to accommodate. In 1991 her capacity was doubled after a minor revamp. Athletics track, floodlight masts and media infrastructure also came in allowing the ground to host major events. One of these major events came in 1997 when youth World Cup was played here. Seats were installed as parts of the preparation for the event.
